A renowned software provider celebrated its entry into the regulated South African online sports betting market recently. SBTech announced that leading brand Bet.co.za migrated to its betting and gaming platform.
Customers of the online sportsbook in South Africa will still have access to the markets they enjoy betting on. Soccer, rugby, cricket, and novelty categories such as political elections are among those markets. However, the migration to the Bulgaria-headquartered company’s platform comes with added benefits.
Migration Brings New Things
Bet.co.za and its customers stand to benefit from the migration to SBTech’s platform in various ways. One of those benefits is a trading and risk management strategy that has been created specifically for the South African market.
Another benefit is that the sportsbook can offer products that are brand-new to the local online sports betting and gaming market. The platform is integrated with BetGames.TV, which offers an alternative to betting on sports. The TV broadcast includes live games as well as live lottery draws that customers can bet on using payment methods that are available locally.
Platform Migration Welcomed
SBTech welcomed Bet.co.za’s migration to its platform, describing the betting brand as one of the best brands in South Africa. The provider’s chief development officer, Andrew Cochrane said that the move was a major milestone for the company, and that it had taken a significant amount of collaboration to achieve it.
The sportsbook also made known its excitement about the move. Bet.co.za CEO Scott Canny said that he expected it to enhance the brand’s position among local bettors; something that would be aided by the brand’s experience with marketing in South Africa.
According to the CEO, this is not only through offering new betting products, but also by presenting bettors with an overall product that has been customised for the local market. He added that the migration ultimately will result in an offering that is totally unique in South Africa.
